Inspired to try out diving herself after watching Quebec diver Annie Pelletier win bronze at the 1996 Summer Olympics, Roseline Filion is described as a solid diver, in both individual events and in synchro with partner and close friend Meaghan Benfeito. Roseline and Meaghan won a spot on the Olympic team by a dive, beating Emilie Heymans and her partner Marie-Eve Marleau, in the Olympic trials.
