Known for his haute couture past in Paris and obsessive attention to detail, evident in his penchant for patchwork and elaborate mermaid dresses, Montreal's Helmer Joseph offered a collection high on color for Fall/Winter 2010, in contrast to his counterintuitively darker Spring/Summer offerings. He also opened the catwalk door to menswear with mismatched plaid outerwear and multicolored patchwork suits.
