FrancoFolies Montréal 2014: The Largest French Music Festival in the World
Les FrancoFolies de Montréal -- not to be confused with Les Francofolies de Spa and de La Rochelle, two music festivals in France -- is one of Montreal's most important festivals, attracting almost one million spectators over the course of close to two weeks, running June 12 to June 22 in 2014. This celebration of the best in French music from Quebec and abroad used to run every summer around the end of July and early August. But since 2010, organizers scheduled it to precede the Montreal Jazz Festival by a couple of weeks. And much like the Jazz Fest, Les FrancoFolies offers a series of indoor shows as well dozens if not hundreds of free outdoor concerts in Montreal's downtown core, increasing in size, scope and popularity since its first edition in 1989. And thousands of musicians have since graced the French music festival, including: FrancoFolies Concerts: Buy Tickets

Free Outdoor FrancoFolies Concerts
Much like with the Montreal Jazz Festival, Les Francofolies offer several free outdoor shows every day of the festival.

Getting to Les FrancoFolies de Montreal
If you can find the Place des Festivals, then you've found the center of Les FrancoFolies' festival perimeter, which is actually a similar setup to that of the Montreal Jazz Festival. The closest metro to the center of outdoor concert action is Place-des-Arts Metro (Jeanne-Mance exit). As for indoor shows, they're scattered at different venues in roughly the same area.
