Every Day
Pick a Park
Sometimes, all it takes is a frisbee, a few sandwiches, and a gorgeous green space to enjoy a day with the clan. With that in mind, I've listed Montreal's best parks for your outing consideration.

Every Day
If you like Pointe-a-Callière's 18th Century Market, then you're going to love Pointe-du-Moulin's authentic 18th century mini-village, complete with windmill, miller's house and costumed characters. Very affordable admission. Located just off the island of Montreal.

Every Day
Montreal Biosphere
The Montreal Biosphere proposes entertaining and interactive hands-on exhibits that are particularly useful in explaining environmental issues to kids (e.g., climate change, sustainable development, responsible consumption, etc.) Admission free for ages 17 and under.

Every Day
Montreal Biodome
Thinking of dropping by the Montreal Botanical Garden and the Insectarium? Consider adding the nearby Biodome to your itinerary. A climate-controlled environment, the Biodome recreates five distinct ecosystems under one roof, from tropical rainforest to sub-Antarctic island. The temperature, humidity as well as plant and animal life all mimic what it's like to live in each ecosystem.

Every Day
Ecomuseum Zoo
This wildlife preserve located on the West Island has "family outing" written all over it. Keep in mind the Ecomuseum is nothing like a traditional zoo with tigers in cages and other exotic species from around the world. Rather, it features over 100 species native to Quebec. The zoo also proposes animal care activities and fun workshops for kids.
