Welcoming Protestants, Catholics and various ethnic communities and alternate faiths, cemetery grounds cover 165 acres of Mount Royal's northern slope, 165 to 225 feet above the city.
In addition to over 145 bird species living in and around the area including hawks, owls and mockingbirds, lucky visitors might spot a red fox, rabbits and raccoons. The lesser lucky can look forward to the occasional skunk.
