To prevent the spread of human swine flu, a respiratory illness causing symptoms similar to those of a regular flu virus, the
Public Health Agency advises Canadians to:
- wash hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and warm water, or use hand sanitizer, especially after contact with others
- cough and sneeze on your arm or sleeve but not in your hands
- keep doing what you normally do, but stay home if sick
- see a doctor if you experience flu-like symptoms
