Montreal's August 2011 concerts listing is not quite as packed as say, June and July with their back-to-back music fest marathon, but there's still plenty of gigs for all tastes, from bluesman Gary Clark Jr. to brocore-pegged Emmure to the Hard Summer Tour's electro lineup featuring Digitalism, Caspa, Jack Beats and Destructo.
Big tickets run the gamut of pop with Janet Jackson and Britney Spears to mainstream rock with Foo Fighters and Blink-182 to a dash of hip hop with formerly gifted student/recently incarcerated superstar Lil Wayne.

3. August 2012 Museums and Exhibits
The Montreal Insectarium is open again after six months of renovations, it's Archaeology Month across the city, Pointe-à-Callière's 18th Century Public Market is back for another annual round, there's still time to catch the Indiana Jones exhibition and ditto for IMAX production Rescue 3D.
