The Girlfriend Experience
Industry victim or liberated performance artist? Either way, Steven Soderbergh admits riding on controversial porn star Sasha Grey's notoriety, placing her center stage in his latest, one of Tribeca Film Fest's most talked about flicks this year. Set in October 2008, it's the story of a $2000 an hour escort's attempt to remain competitive despite the financial meltdown and much of the dialogue was improvised by Grey. The Girlfriend Experience, premieres at Cinéma du Parc tonight.
